About Lee Farms in Tualatin, Oregon
Lee Farms is 7 generations of family farming that is rooted deep in the Central Coast of Oregon. We have raised our children here for over 150 years and can’t wait to share our family farm with you and your family as well.
The Lee Farms Story
How we started.
In 1869 our ancestors began producing row crops to feed their families and then migrated into becoming cattle farmers and milk producers, hay haulers, strawberry pickers and pie makers all right in Tualatin, Oregon
Who we are.
Our roots begin with the Jurgen family settling in Tualatin, Oregon in 1869. The Martinazzi family in 1889 and then the Lee family in 1936. Our current farming operation really originate through the marriage of Laurance Lee and Loyce Martinazzi; the 4th generation of what we call our family farming in Tualatin. They opened up their strawberry fields to the general public for u-pick in the 1960’s which is where our retail side of farming all began.
Agritainment expansion.
We started our pumpkin patch in the 1980’s and expanded our retail bakery and farm market. In order to support the 6th generation of farmers, we adapted and met customer demand by expanding the entertainment side of agriculture with our festivals. We still farm some row crops, offer u-pick berries & cut/bale hay. Our main passion is opening up our farm to our visitors for festivals which include our Easter Egg Hunt, Berry Festival, Sunflower Festival, Fall Harvest Festival & Christmas tree’s.
Current Farming.
Craig Lee (5th generation) owns Lee Farms and all of his children are involved. The youngest, Tommy, is a student at Oregon State University and pops back home to help when needed. Annie operates the farm market & bakery and hosts the Easter Egg Hunt and Berry Festival. Kara & Teagan manage all of the outside festivities for the Sunflower Festival, Fall Harvest Festival and Christmas Tree season. Erika used to be involved with all of the above and she now currently owns Red Berry Barn located in Sherwood. We all work closely together!
Our vision.
By opening up our farm to the public to enjoy experiences throughout the year, we have as a result been able to support the 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th generations today! Its a WIN for our guests and a WIN for our family as we constantly adapt to demand while maintaining the integrity of our farmland and deep roots in Tualatin, Oregon.
To our core.
On this farm, we believe in the value of family and sticking together. We believe that supporting each other brings everyone up. That it is important to find a balance between hustle and rest and to make time for both. Farming is in our core and has created our value system for how we treat our community, raise our children and treat our visitors.
